1. What is PALS?
Paediatric Advanced Life Support

Paediatric Advanced Life Support is a 2 days American Heart Association course for health care providers. This course imparts knowledge and skills to act effectively and efficiently in pediatric emergencies.
2. What is the course duration?
  • 2 days.
  • Timings: 9 am to 4 pm
3. Is it a certified course?

Yes. It’s an American Heart Association certified course.

4. What do you teach in PALS?
Topics
High-Quality Infant and child CPR and AED.

Recognition of patients requiring immediate interventions.

Recognition of cardiopulmonary arrest early and application of CPR within 10 seconds

Team dynamics

Differentiation between respiratory distress and failure

Early interventions for respiratory distress and failure

PALS course participants are provided with original PALS provider manual.

2 years

8. What is the course fee?

Course fee is Rs 9000 which is inclusive of course materials and GST.

11. Do I have to make the payment in advance?

Yes. You can make the payment online or offline.

12. When I will get my certificate?

A printed certificate will be ready in 2 working days after the successful completion of the course. Also, candidates can download pdf from the AHA website on the same day itself. Downloadable pdf will be available on the AHA website forever.

13. Is there any pre-test for PALS?
Yes. An online pre-test is mandatory.

15. How to become a certified PALS instructor?

Indented candidates should have IP (Instructor Potential), which is eligibility to become an instructor. You are evaluated for IP, based on your performance during the course. After having obtained an IP, you will need to attend an instructor course to become an instructor. Instructor card will be issued only after completing the required number of course monitoring, usually 2 or 3.
