1. What is ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) ?

ACLS stands for Advanced Cardiac Life Support. This is an American Heart Association course which teaches assessment and interventions of advanced cardio vascular emergencies such as:

  • Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)
  • Brady Arrhythmias
  • Acute Ischemic stroke
  • Tachy Arrhythmias
  • Cardiac Arrest.
2. What is the course duration?
  • ACLS is a two days course.
  • Timings: 9 am to 4 pm.
3. Is it a certified course?
Yes. It’s an American Heart Association certified course.
4. What do you teach in ACLS?

ACLS Course contents include:

  1. Review – High-quality BLS
  2. Systematic approach/Assessment of patients in cardio vascular emergencies.
  3. Airway management.
  4. Acute Coronary Syndrome
  5. ECG interpretation
  6. Brady Arrhythmias
  7. Tachy Arrhythmias
  8. Cardiac Arrest
  9. Acute Ischemic Stroke
  10. Post Arrest care
  11. Intraosseous access
  12. Dealing with dead patients.

5. Who are the instructors?

6. Will I get any course materials like books?
ACLS course participants are provided with the original BLS provider manual.
7. How long the certificate is valid for?
2 years
8. What is the course fee?
The course fee is Rs 5300 which is inclusive of course materials and GST.

10. Do I have to make the payment in advance?
Yes. You can make the payment online or offline.
11. When I will get my certificate?
A printed certificate will be ready in 2 working days after the successful completion of the course. Also, candidates can download pdf from the AHA website on the same day itself. Downloadable pdf will be available on the AHA website forever.
12. Is there any pre-test for ACLS?

14. How to become a certified ACLS instructor?
Indented candidates should have IP (Instructor Potential), which is eligibility to become an instructor. You are evaluated for IP, based on your performance during the course. After having obtained an IP, you will need to attend an instructor course to become an instructor. Instructor card will be issued only after completing the required number of course monitoring, usually 2 or 3.
