Admission Assessment:Abdominal cramping pain while playing in school
 fatigue, looked tired,  Temp: 38.30 C
 pulse:143bpm, BP: 90/48mmhg, RR:22bpm
 ?sickle cell disease
 pediatric hematologist advised admission
Social background:Single child lives with parents in Ouyen
Medical background:Sickle cell anemia- 2002
 preterm birth
 nil medications
 no known allergies

Management and progress during the hospital stay:

Discharge Plan:8 glasses of water/day at least

 avoid strenuous activity
 avoid high altitude
 follow up – GP
Note:Parents are so scared about relapse of sickle cell crisis in future.
 So patient’s GP is given reference for detailed evaluation and follow up.
